Apprenticeships and T Levels

What is an apprenticeship?

Apprenticeships combine practical training in a job with study.

As an apprentice you will:
  • work alongside experienced staff
  • gain job-specific skills
  • earn a wage and get holiday pay
  • get time for study related to your job role (usually one day a week)
  • some apprenticeships can also give you an extra qualification

Chris Stock Fund

Successful local businessman, Chris Stocks, worked for most of his life in Irlam before he sadly passed away in 2015. Grateful for the support he received in Irlam during his career, he established the Chris Stocks Fund to support young people in the area to develop their skills and benefit their future employability.

If you are starting a new apprenticeship or similar, and need a little financial support, funding can be provided to support a variety of different items and costs associated with pursuing a trade. This could include safety clothing, equipment, tools, travel and training costs. If you would like to apply, simply click here: https://hamiltondavies.org.uk/grants-overview/chris-stocks-fund/
